Tinnitis Treatment Research in Albany, NY

Albany ENT and Allergy Services recognizes the importance of ongoing clinical research to remain at the forefront of medical advances at it relates to conditions involving disorders of the ear, nose and throat that affect our patients.

We are active participants in the CHEER (Creating Healthcare Excellence through Education and
Research) network (www.cheerresearch.org). The CHEER network is comprised of 24 private and
academic sites around the United States committed to practice-based research in order to improve treatment and outcomes for our patients.

CHEER is partnered with the AAO-HNSF (American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
Foundation) and Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI).

We are also involved in various clinical trials in order to help develop and/or improve cutting edge medical and surgical treatments for our patients. All trials are overseen by one of our experienced physicians (Principle Investigator) who follows the patient(s) throughout their participation in the trial.

Trials are all approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) which monitors activity of the study until completed. When participating in a trial, all patient examinations and treatments are provided at no cost to the patient or their insurance carrier. At times study participants may be compensated for their time and travel.
