(AENT) for your Ear, Nose, and Throat needs. Our goal is to provide access to optimum care as quickly as possible, while maintaining patient and staff safety. All visitors, patients, and accompanying family members can help us by following all guidelines outlined in our Patient Code of Conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>As a patient visiting our Practice, we expect the patient to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Treat AENT\u2019s staff and providers with courtesy and respect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide the most accurate and complete information about present complaints, past illnesses, hospitalizations, medications, and other matters relating to the patient\u2019s health.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate all issues that the patient wishes to discuss with the provider during the appointment at the time the appointment is scheduled so that the appropriate amount of time can be allotted for the visit and the provider can dedicate the time and quality of care the patient deserves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Report any changes in the patient\u2019s condition to the provider.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the treatment plan that the provider has developed based on the patient\u2019s clinical condition, personal goals and values. This may include following the instructions of nurses and allied health professionals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let our staff know if the patient does not understand the treatment plan or what is expected of them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep appointments as scheduled or contact the office at least 24 hours prior to that appointment to cancel or reschedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be responsible for the patient\u2019s own actions and the consequences of those actions. If the patient refuses treatment or does not follow the provider\u2019s instructions, outcomes may not be optimal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet financial obligations to the practice and contact the billing office at 518-701-2086 as soon as possible if you have concerns about payment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abide by any practice or public health and safety policies and regulations, such as no smoking or wearing a mask (if required).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refrain from possession and\/or use of non-prescribed drugs or alcoholic beverages while on our premises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Request to speak to the patient advocate before you leave our office if you have any questions or would like to discuss the services provided in our office, so that we may address your concerns in real time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete a patient feedback form if they would like to provide any feedback regarding their visit or interaction with our office at any time. The patient feedback form can be found on our website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be courteous with the use of your cell phone and other electronic devices. When interacting with any of our staff, patients are expected to put their devices away unless agreed upon by the provider to facilitate care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise any underage children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our Practice has a zero-tolerance policy for aggressive behavior directed by patients to our staff, providers, and other patients.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The following are prohibited and\/or may be grounds for immediate removal and\/or discharge from our Practice:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Failing to comply with the Patient Code of Conduct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Possessing and claiming to possess firearms or any weapon while on our premises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intimidating, harassing, physically assaulting, or threatening staff or other patients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making threats of violence verbally or through phone calls, letters, voicemail, email, or other forms of written, verbal, or electronic communication.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damaging equipment or property.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making menacing or derogatory gestures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making racial, cultural, or sexual slurs or other derogatory remarks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repeatedly missing your scheduled appointments without providing at least 24 hours&#8217; prior notice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repeatedly being late for your scheduled appointments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refusing to follow the provider\u2019s treatment plan or instructions for a high-risk diagnosis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failing to pay cost share amounts billed to the patient for services provided As a patient, if you are subjected to any of these behaviors or witness inappropriate behavior, please report it to any staff member.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you for choosing Albany ENT &amp; Allergy Services, P.C.
