physician president, Dr. Gavin Setzen, MD, FACS, FAAOA, FARS, has been
chosen by the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
(AAO-HNS) as one of only twelve inaugural inductees into its Hall of
Distinction. This grouping includes six \u2018pioneers\u2019 and six physiciansincluding Dr. Setzen-still in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At AENT, Dr. Gavin Setzen not only provides superior medical and surgical
care to his patients but has also spent his career advocating to improve
healthcare and access at state and national levels. Dr. Setzen\u2019s association
with the AAO-HNS is extensive, ranging from Chairing the Board of Governors
to serving as AAO-HNS president, from 2017-2018. During his tenure he
advocated for many patient centered issues, education, and research in
Otolaryngology, here in the United States and globally. As president, he
initiated the Future of Otolaryngology Task Force which became vital during
the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Setzen and his fellow inductees will be honored during the annual AAOHNS meeting on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021, at 3:30 pm and participate in a panel discussion \u201cHow Can the Past Inform the Future?\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
