How These Treatments Work
Both RhinAer and VivAer use gentle, temperature-controlled radiofrequency energy to address the underlying cause of symptoms. RhinAer targets overactive nasal nerves that contribute to chronic drainage, and VivAer reshapes tissue in the nasal valve to improve airflow.
These treatments are performed in our office under local anesthesia. They are typically completed within 20-30 minutes, and no operating room or general anesthesia are required.
After the procedure, mild congestion or tenderness may occur temporarily. Symptoms improve gradually as healing progresses.
Benefits of RhinAer and VivAer
Both procedures offer similar advantages:
- Improved sleep, comfort and daily functioning.
- Minimally invasive treatment, with little to no downtime
- Return to normal activities within a day
- Long-lasting symptom improvement
- May reduce reliance on medications
